Getting A Mental Picture

One way to start our discussion of Movies and Moving Making is to look at where movies come from and what they seek to do and say. What do they suggest to the mind when looking at the images and listening to the sounds and noticing the lighting.
We must realize that the human mind is unique from all other creatures as it is the only brain that is capable of understanding and creating signs and symbols. More than that it is the only brain that can determinately say that this represents that and make a meaning for something that had no meaning or purpose.
That art most scholars say, started with Egypt. But it has been around as long as humans walked the earth.
What does this have to do with Movies you say, well everything. Just as with Painted Art, Poetry and any form of the written or spoken word the highest form of communication is with symbolic language i.e. signs and symbols, one thing representing something else in order t communicate a higher meaning or convey a hidden message to those that understand how to READ or interpret the message.
This is nothing new, spooky or devilish by its original nature. All literature is written this way, and this I believe is the cause of the great troubles in the word in reference to religion, that being the misreading of scripture itself.
Well, I am not hear to tell you that your idea or understanding of scripture is wrong or that you have the wrong religion, that would be ignorant of me and presumptuous a least. We are here to talk about movies and this great art form that has been a staple of the idea of America and has Added to its greatness in the world.
Yes, Movie Making and the art there of has aided the American Idea to spread throughout the world more than any avenue even more than American Policies. Movies are a great part of the social fabric of the world. and American Movie Making is foremost in the world.
What does movie making have to do with scripture? Well, not that it has to do with scripture more than it has to do with the movie makers ideas of what scripture says and how those blueprints in scripture are being and how they should be played out in society. We will be in future posts talking about how we are to read symbols... We will be giving you a vocabulary of terms and their meanings so that you will be able to identify them while watching your favorite movies. And as you watch your favorite movies you will began to see a language unfolding before you. You will began to be able to hear and see the conversation that is being had on high levels of communication.
I don't think that the world is being run under cover by men in dark rooms smoking on large cigars, or aliens that can shape shift into human form and control your thinking. I don't believe in fairy tales. I do know that the world is being run by those that are right before our eyes in the open and they are using the blueprints that we all have in our possession if we are religious people. They have no secrets, it is there for you to see, but only if you understand who to read.

Read!

Where do movies come from? What are they saying to us and why? These are some of the important questions that we will explore on this blog as we look at the inner workings of the movies. We will take a look at the connection between script writing and scripture.

We want to know your thoughts on what makes a movie great. What are some of your favorites and why? We will be discussing the social commentary of past, present and movies yet to come by looking a the conditions in our society and determining the ultimate affects of our viewing habits.

We would like to share with you the art of communicating ideas from one medium to another in hopes that it will inspire others to possibly become Movie makers and Movie Readers.
